Frame has removable back under lid. Inside box is a small compartment with clear glass top that shows the high quality Sankyo musical movement. When key under box is wound, music will play when lid is open and stop when it is closed. Plays the song "Jesus Loves Me." Storage compartment has a luxurious black velvety lining.
